Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Screening Specialist in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.36 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Wed – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thu – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri – 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report details according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention. Monitor access points and public areas, observe and document security‑related concerns, and communicate with site contacts, visitors, and/or first responders as needed. Support daily operations by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and completing required logs, reports, and/or other documentation accurately and on time. Minimum Requirements X‑Ray screening experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.
