A prominent company in the pharmacrutical and wellness industry is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to enhance their production capabilities. This role focuses on leading automation initiatives for production and packaging systems, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring operational efficiency through hands-on technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automatedsolutions for packaging processes, including systems for handling liquids,softgels, and solid forms.
  • Provide ongoing support for PLC,HMI, SCADA, and other control systems integral to production lines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issueswith automated equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productquality.
  • Optimize production lines usinglean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency andreduce operational waste.
  • Support equipment qualificationsand change control processes, ensuring compliance with industryregulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functionalteams, including Maintenance, Quality, and Production, to train staff andimplement process enhancements.
  • Research and recommend innovativeautomation technologies to advance manufacturing capabilities.
Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in MechanicalEngineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a relateddiscipline from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-onexperience in manufacturing automation, ideally within regulatedindustries such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or food production.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming(e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI/SCADA systems, and industrialcommunication protocols.
  • Experience with robotic systemsintegration and vision inspection technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities,attention to detail, and a proactive mindset for process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills towork effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LEAN certification (e.g., GreenBelt or Black Belt) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0technologies, IoT, or data analytics tools for predictive maintenance.
