ANTI-VIOLENCE DIVISION Youth Program Team Lead Roles & Responsibilities Division: O.N.E. (One Neighborhood Evolution) Anti-Violence Division Reports To: O.N.E. Director and/or designated Program Supervisor Reports To: O.N.E. Director and/or designated Program Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY The O.N.E. Anti-Violence Youth Program Team Lead provides direct leadership, supervision, mentorship, and administrative oversight for youth participating in O.N.E. employment, workforce development, community engagement, and violence-prevention programming. The Team Lead serves as a bridge between O.N.E. leadership, participating youth, parents/guardians when appropriate, and community worksite partners. The Team Lead is expected to model professionalism, accountability, conflict resolution, leadership, and positive decision-making while helping young people develop the skills necessary to succeed in employment, education, and life. Provide direct supervision and guidance to youth assigned to the Team Lead. Ensure youth understand their daily assignments, schedules, responsibilities, and expectations. Conduct regular check-ins with youth regarding attendance, performance, behavior, and progress. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while developing positive and supportive relationships with participants. Reinforce O.N.E. standards concerning respect, accountability, communication, teamwork, and professionalism. Immediately address behavioral or performance concerns and report serious or repeated issues to O.N.E. leadership. Maintain accurate records of youth attendance, work hours, absences, tardiness, and approved schedule changes. Review youth timesheets for accuracy before submitting them for approval. Verify that reported hours correspond with actual participation and assigned work schedules. Ensure timesheets are completed and submitted according to established deadlines. Immediately report discrepancies, suspected falsification, or other payroll-related concerns to O.N.E. leadership. Communicate with youth regarding attendance expectations and the importance of workplace accountability. Identify businesses, City departments, nonprofit organizations, community organizations, and other appropriate locations where youth may receive meaningful work experience. Assist leadership in establishing relationships with potential worksite partners. Help match youth with work opportunities based on their interests, abilities, maturity, career goals, and program needs. Communicate with worksite supervisors to ensure expectations are clearly established. Conduct periodic worksite check-ins to monitor youth attendance, performance, safety, and overall experience. Report and assist in resolving concerns involving youth or participating worksites. Seek opportunities that expose youth to different careers, trades, professions, educational pathways, and entrepreneurship. Serve as a positive and consistent adult role model. Provide guidance regarding education, employment, career planning, relationships, conflict, responsibility, and decision-making. Encourage youth to establish short-term and long-term goals. Help youth understand workplace expectations, including punctuality, communication, appropriate dress, respect for supervisors, and teamwork. Encourage youth to make choices that reduce their exposure to violence, criminal activity, and other high-risk situations. Recognize when a young person may need additional assistance and connect them with appropriate O.N.E. leadership or available resources. Celebrate progress, accomplishments, improved behavior, educational achievements, and employment milestones. Reinforce the mission and principles of O.N.E. Anti-Violence in all interactions with youth. Teach and model peaceful conflict-resolution and communication skills. Help youth understand the consequences of violence and retaliation. Recognize developing conflicts among participants and intervene appropriately within the scope of the Team Lead position. Immediately notify appropriate O.N.E. leadership of serious threats, safety concerns, or conflicts requiring additional intervention. Promote a culture where young people can seek assistance before disagreements escalated. Director, supervisors, and program staff. Provide updates regarding youth participation, attendance, achievements, concerns, and worksite performance. Attend required staff meetings, trainings, orientations, and program activities. Immediately communicate significant incidents involving youth safety, workplace issues, threats, injuries, or other serious concerns. Maintain appropriate documentation regarding significant youth or worksite matters. Protect confidential information involving youth participants and their families. Discuss sensitive participant information only with authorized individuals who have a legitimate program-related need to know. Maintain professional boundaries with youth at all times. Treat every participant fairly, respectfully, and consistently. Follow all City of Atlantic City and O.N.E. policies, procedures, safety requirements, and reporting protocols applicable to the position. Assist with youth orientations and enrollment activities. Participate in community events, educational trips, college tours, career fairs, workshops, and recreational activities. Assist with transportation coordination and participant accountability when assigned. Help organize youth development activities and special projects. Support O.N.E. community engagement and violence-prevention initiatives. Perform other reasonable program-related duties assigned by O.N.E. leadership. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS An O.N.E.
