Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

Requirements

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the department
• At least six months of previous critical care experience preferred
• Passing completion of a Critical Care Nursing course

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate nursing interventions in stable and emergent patient situations
• Administer medications and perform intravenous therapy
• Care for patients with multi-system failure requiring ventilation, neuro/trauma, respiratory failure, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in managing patients requiring ICP and ventriculostomy monitoring
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage emergency situations
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel
