Job Description:

Title: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

Schedule: Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights. Weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback as per unit needs.

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours billed at regular time

Requirements:

- RN License (New York only)

- 2 years of medical-surgical experience

- Psychology experience required

- Telemetry experience required

- BLS (American Heart Association only)

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.

- Monitor patient health and progress, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.

- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.

- Educate patients and their families about health management and wellness strategies.

- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Compliance / Notes:

- Must be flexible and willing to care for a varied patient population in a changing environment.

- Eligible for dual-certification in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after meeting experience requirements.
