Registered Nurse - Cardiac Med/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 16-week contract position in the Cardiac Med/Tele unit. The unit consists of 43 beds and requires a skilled nurse to provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.

Schedule

This position offers 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with options for either 36 or 48 hours per week. Nurses will be expected to work one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend and must work at least one holiday during their contract.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY Registered Nurse license.
• AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients within the cardiac unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. Nurses may also be required to float to other units based on facility needs and may take charge when necessary, with training provided.
