The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community provides direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. This role ensures residents receive high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and overall healthAdminister medications and treatments as prescribedAssist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobilityMonitor and document resident conditions and report changes to RN or physicianMaintain accurate medical records and documentationAssist in developing and updating care plansRespond to resident calls and emergencies in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with infection control and safety proceduresSupervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) when neededCommunicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team membersCurrent LPN license in the state of employment (e.g., Kansas)Graduate of an accredited practical nursing programBasic knowledge of nursing practices and patient careStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work as part of a healthcare teamCompassionate, patient-focused attitudePrevious experience in long-term care, assisted living, or rehabilitation preferredCPR/BLS certificationExperience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move for extended periodsLift or assist residents (up to 50+ pounds with support)Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching #J-18808-Ljbffr
