Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Two attempts are allowed. Pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on day 1 of orientation.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Psychiatric experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Inpatient Med-Surg/Tele unit with a behavioral health component that requires additional safety monitoring; this is not a psych unit. Patient population includes medical patients with secondary psychiatric diagnoses, confusion, dementia, and low cognitive ability. Patients are video monitored by security on the unit; rare physical restraints and chemical restraints may be used. Charge nurse has patients.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks. Holidays based on unit coverage.

Floating Requirements: May float to ED psych holds and possibly to Med-Surg floors.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
