Veterinary Technician Thrive Austin East 7th 2795 E 7th St, Austin 78702 $1,000 Sign-on Bonus Schedule: Full time: 4 days/week (10-hour shifts) + minimum of 2 Saturdays/month Service focus: Low-stress wellness exams, vaccines, preventative care, dentistry, spay/neuter, soft tissue surgery, diagnostic imaging, and end-of-life care Role Responsibilities: Support veterinarians to deliver high-quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Collaborate with the medical team across hospital functions (including diagnostic imaging) to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. Assist with surgeries and procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery, in accordance with your state’s Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and provide guidance on vaccines, preventative care, medications, recommended treatments, and Thrive Membership options. Maintain accurate, complete medical records in the EMR using practice systems and standard protocols. Obtain relevant patient history from clients, support appointments, and update medical charts. Use safe restraint techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and lab spaces; assist with sample collection, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement as trained. Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the team.
