Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Pre-K Special Education Teacher, supporting early learners in an autism-focused classroom setting. This full-time position begins August 24, 2026, and runs through June 14, 2027, set within a supportive educational environment located near Auburn, MA. As an integral part of the special education team, you will help nurture growth, inclusion, and success at a vital developmental stage.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Early Childhood Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Experience working with autism spectrum disorders in the Pre-K to early elementary school population preferred
- Deep understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and best practices for special education
- Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and families for holistic student support
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom experience for all learners
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction, centered on the needs of students with autism
- Implement evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to promote engagement and achievement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and assess IEP goals
- Provide ongoing communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and needs
- Foster a nurturing, structured environment that encourages learning and growth
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
