This full-time, contract position offers a dynamic environment where your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will be invaluable. The assignment spans from August 24, 2026, through June 14, 2027—providing the chance to foster growth and success in an early childhood classroom dedicated to creating a supportive, enriching experience for each student.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Early Childhood Special Education Teaching Certification is required
- Experience or genuine interest in teaching young children with autism spectrum disorders
- Strong communication skills and collaborative work style
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Commitment to nurturing an inclusive, positive classroom climate
Role Responsibilities:
- Teach and support a Pre-K classroom with an autism focus
- Create and adapt lesson plans addressing diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including classroom aides, therapists, and families
- Track progress and modify instruction to ensure developmental milestones are met
