A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher passionate about early childhood education to serve in a Pre-K autism-focused classroom on a full-time contract basis. Located in the Worcester, MA area, this position will span the 2026-2027 school year, beginning August 24, 2026, and concluding June 14, 2027. As a vital member of the educational team, you will help shape young minds, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and fostering a supportive, engaging learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Early Childhood Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Experience working in special education, preferably with early childhood and autism-focused settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver differentiated instruction
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver specialized instruction for young learners in a Pre-K autism-focused classroom
- Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive environment tailored to diverse needs
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and behavioral strategies to enhance student engagement and growth
- Collaborate regularly with related service providers, families, and school staff
- Help assess student progress, contribute to IEP meetings, and adjust plans as needed
- Stay current on best practices in early childhood special education
