Facility Housekeeper

Housekeeping ResponsibilitiesCleans & disinfects all surfaces within assigned area using approved chemicalsDoes whole room thorough cleaning and bed scrubs according to scheduleCleans & disinfects all restrooms daily and as needed, including floors and bathing roomsUnderstands how to use SDS sheetsUses chemicals per manufacturer's specifications and company policyPlaces wet floor signs properly; removes them when floor is dryChanges mop water per policy and after cleaning isolation rooms or heavily soiled areasUses proper body mechanicsReplenishes supply of towels, Toilet Tissue and soap in all areasStraightens, rearranges furniture; keeps common areas ready for show at all times; assists elders to keep rooms neat and clean and keep down clutterMaintains clean work area including housekeeping and storage closetsThoroughly cleans vacated rooms immediately including bed/mattress scrub and wipe down walls; check curtains for soil and launder if necessary; ensures room is ready to show potential elders/families at all timesMoves elder and belongings to new room when transferred within the homeCleans isolation rooms per policy using proper personal protective equipmentReports safety issues to supervisor as soon as possibleWears gloves during cleaning; changes and washes hands per policy after each roomParticipates in committees and orientation of new hiresAccurately records all completed assigned areas on flow recordMinimum Qualification StandardsEducation/Experience: High School diploma and housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.Must be free from illegal use of drugs and free from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Must pass drug screening and criminal background checks prior to hire.
