Machine Operator - 1st & 2nd Shift - Company Seeking Entry Level and Experienced Operators

Job Description

Join our dynamic team working in Sawland with the Saws, where you will be responsible for loading parts and performing manual operations such as drill press and deburring. You will also work with electric drills for drilling and tapping products, and utilize wrenches to bolt down fixtures into t-plates. This role requires experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with machine operation.

Responsibilities

• Loading parts and performing manual operations such as drill press and deburring.
• Utilizing electric drills for drilling and tapping products.
• Using wrenches to bolt down fixtures into t-plates.
• Employing properly calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other measuring tools.

Essential Skills

• Machine operation and saw operation experience.
• Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and lean six sigma principles.
• Ability to conduct dimensional inspection and utilize bandsaws.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and write, equivalent to a high school education, to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork.
• Basic math skills.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Lean 6 Sigma methodologies.

Work Environment

You will work 2nd shift hours from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, with optional weekend shifts for those who are flexible. Regular work hours are close to 50 hours weekly. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $21.75/hr.
