Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to maintain and repair building systems and equipment. This hands-on role requires expertise in electrical systems, mechanical equipment maintenance, and facility operations. The ideal candidate will possess a Journeyman Electrician License and demonstrate proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing motors, pumps, compressors, and associated electrical and mechanical components. This position demands strong technical abilities, safety consciousness, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in diverse physical environments including confined spaces and elevated work areas.

Summary Of Duties/Essential Functions:

• Run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.
• Install and rebuild pumps and motors; Install and rebuild air compressors, and heat exchangers;
• Replace bearings in all types of motors; replace seals on pumps; install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls
• Assist other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
• Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
• Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Able to regularly lift items up to 50lbs
• Physically able to operate electric hand tools, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.
• Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
• Able to work on a ladder up to 28'
• Able to work on roofs of buildings able to safely perform overhead work while standing on a ladder.

Education/Experience/Certifications:

• High School diploma, state equivalent, or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of related trade schooling or equivalent, preferred.
• Electrical Journeyman License
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Team player-works well with others

Location: Columbus, NE

Work Shift: 1st Shift/Morning Shift
