Are you a proactive professional with a "get-it-done" attitude? Our client is a busy and growing medical practice and they are seeking a motivated Medical Payment Collector to join our team in Melville.
If you are organized, detail-oriented, and ready to play a key role in managing claims and collections, we want to hear from you! salary: $22 - $25 per hourshift: First
work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM
education: High School Responsibilities Reach out to insurers to discuss settlements and resolve outstanding balances Keep track of aging reports for assigned insurance carriers Review and respond to EOBs, denials, and rejected claims Collect, review, and appeal any unpaid or underpaid claims to make
sure they’re handled quickly Record all appeal attempts in USMON software so everything’s easy to
track Post payments accurately to keep accounts up-to-date Follow up with 30-35 claims per day Full on the job training is provided Skills Payment AcceptanceMedical BillingMedical TerminologyHIPAABasic Medical TerminologyICD-10ICD-9Patient SchedulingData CollectionReceiving Incoming CallsMedical SoftwareMedical CourseworkMedical Billing - UnderpaymentsMedical Billing - DenialsEOBsClaims ProcessingMedical Billing - Charge Master
