Credit Analyst

Overview Responsible for the review, analysis, and evaluation of credit data for commercial loans. Responsibilities Responsible for collection of financial information and conducting analysis by generating, running, and utilizing system-generated reports. Work with clients, Underwriters and Commercial Relationship Managers to analyze loan needs and options available to meet clients’ financial goals. Spread financial statements and related information to financial spreadsheets and/or software programs for analysis. Analyze Accounts Receivable, Inventory and other collateral information to determine adequate collateral coverage. Analyze financial data related to new and renewal commercial loan requests, including lines of credit, asset-based lines, equipment financing loans and/or commercial real estate loans. Conduct credit investigations and prepare credit approval reports and summarize credit. Monitor existing loans to ensure complete conformity with terms. Presents facts and offers opinions to Commercial Relationship Managers and Underwriters concerning applicant’s credit worthiness. Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws/regulations as applicable. Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external clients. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable. May coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learn and foster the company culture and values; take personal initiative and set a positive example for others. Experience Minimum two years of experience of relevant credit analysis and commercial underwriting experience (Required). Bachelor's degree required. Skills Basic analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Basic understanding of banking and credit administration environments. Basic credit and credit quality skills including accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis. Basic knowledge of credit policies, procedures, practices and documentation. Basic understanding of personal and business financial statements and tax returns. Basic knowledge of loan documentation and collateral perfection. Ability to learn loan origination, financial spreading, and other banking software. Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships. Proficiency with personal computers and software such as Word and Excel. Credit Lens experience preferred. Travel Occasional Location & Compensation The pay range for this role is $27.75 - $46.25. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
