Medical Assistant-Certified

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) provides clinical support in a primary care outpatient clinic setting, assisting healthcare providers with patient care activities. This role involves preparing patients, performing clinical tasks, and supporting efficient clinic operations. The MA-C collaborates with the care team to ensure high-quality patient service and smooth workflow. Candidates must hold a current MA-C certification and have experience in adult and/or pediatric outpatient care. Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examination and procedures.
• Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks and patient care.
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient histories.
• Perform basic clinical procedures as delegated.
• Support patient flow and clinic operations for efficient service delivery.
• Maintain accurate patient records, preferably using EPIC charting system.
• Float to other clinic locations as needed for staffing coverage.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential (no MA-R, MA-P, or MA-HT).
• Minimum 6 months experience as an MA-C in adult/pediatric outpatient clinic preferred.
• Reliable personal transportation (public transportation not acceptable).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in a cardiology outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system.

Special Considerations:

• Must not hold Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R), Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P), or Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician (MA-HT) certifications.
• Floating to Canyon Park or Woodinville clinics may be required after initial training period.
• Reliable personal transportation is mandatory; no public transit use.
• No on-call requirements.
• Scrubs are provided for clinical attire.

Scheduling:

• Four 9.5-hour shifts per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• Typical shift hours: Monday 8:15 AM 5:15 PM; Tuesday 7:45 AM 5:15 PM; Wednesday 8:15 AM 5:45 PM; Friday 7:45 AM 5:15 PM.
• Thursdays and weekends off.
