Location : Austin (Hybrid) About The Team The Data Intelligence & Analytics organization builds the core data platform and internal products that power decision-making across the company. We design and operate large-scale data systems, own the data lake, ingestion infrastructure, and platform tooling, and develop end-to-end applications that transform complex datasets into fast, reliable, business-critical products used daily by go-to-market, product, and engineering teams. About The Role We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Austin team and help scale the development of internal data products. You will be involved end-to-end — from shaping requirements and designing features to implementation and long-term ownership — building data-driven applications that empower teams across the company. You will work on building scalable, reliable systems that solve critical business problems, partnering with full-stack engineers to develop new features and operate the data pipelines and services behind our applications. Our stack includes Go, Scala, and ClickHouse, with opportunities to work on AI-ready data layers and modern AI infrastructure and tools such as vector databases, MCP-based services, and Workers AI. What You'll Do Design and implement core components of our data pipelines and services in Go and Scala, focusing on scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability. Partner with engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders to design solutions for strategic initiatives and data products. Contribute to the evolution of our data platform architecture, improving scalability, reliability, observability, and data correctness. Build and curate high-quality, well-modeled datasets that power internal products, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled features at scale. Develop understanding of the company’s data ecosystem and collaborate with data and system engineers across locations to improve data ingestion, quality, and governance. Lead by example through design reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to raise technical standards across the organization. Qualifications & Experience B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles, building and operating production data systems. Strong programming expertise in Go, Python, or JVM-based languages, with experience delivering production-grade services and pipelines. Deep knowledge of SQL and experience with relational, analytical, or vector databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse). Experience building scalable, reliable, and observable data pipelines with focus on performance and data quality. Proven problem-solving and communication skills; ability to drive projects in ambiguous environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Bonus Points Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes.
