SENIOR RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST, CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (SPECIALIST)

Senior Radiologic Technologist, Correctional Facility (Specialist) Location: Pelican Bay State Prison, Crescent City, CA. 12‑month Limited Term, full time; may be extended or become permanent. Salary: $6,783–$7,898 per month. Job Description Under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, the Senior Radiologic Technologist (Specialist) performs advanced radiological procedures in a correctional facility setting and provides technical leadership to Radiologic Technologists, lower‑level staff, and incarcerated workers. Responsibilities include: Perform complex diagnostic imaging and report findings. Lead and supervise imaging staff and maintain quality standards. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and facility policies. Coordinate scheduling and workflow for imaging services. Provide training and mentorship to junior technologists. Minimum Qualifications Certification and experience: Valid California State Department of Health Services radiologic technologist certificate. Either: One year experience as a radiologic technologist in a correctional facility. Three years experience with accredited medical radiologist training, or substitution with one year of graduate nurse training. One year of technologist experience plus completion of a two‑year AMOC‑approved radiologic technology program. Applicants must pass the required examination and secure the certificate before appointment. Benefits Annual recruitment and retention bonus of $2,600 for continued employment at PBSP.
