Interventional Radiology Technologist - Jersey City, New Jersey

Advance your career with an exciting opportunity to support the Imaging Department as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist. This position offers a contract assignment, contributing to a fast-paced team in a vital hospital setting.


Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible options: 4x10-hour shifts (9:00 am - 7:30 pm) or 5x8-hour shifts (11:00 am - 7:30 pm)
• Mandatory call: One night each week (7:00 pm - 6:30 am) and one weekend every four weeks (Friday 7:00 pm - Monday 6:30 am)
• Candidates must reside or temporarily relocate within 30 minutes of the facility (locals considered within 75 miles)
• Please note: There is no on-call room available

Qualifications:

• ARRT (R) certification required and must be in hand
• BLS and ACLS certification must be obtained by the start date; confirmation of intention to obtain required upon submission
• NJ State Radiography License required (can start application if not yet obtained)
• Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (both vaccines and a booster) and a current flu vaccine required; no exemptions or declinations permitted
• Demonstrated experience as an IR Tech with strong imaging skills preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform interventional imaging procedures with accuracy and attention to patient safety
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the clinical team during procedures
• Maintain thorough patient documentation and uphold all safety protocols
• Adapt to the day-shift schedule and handle additional night/weekend call requirements
