Credit Investing Vice President - (Energy & Infrastructure)

I'm partnering with a leading global alternative investment platform that is looking to add a Vice President to its Energy & Infrastructure Credit Investing team in Houston. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded investment platform with a significant track record of deploying capital across energy, power, infrastructure, and related sectors. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline 5-10 years of relevant experience in private credit, energy investing, infrastructure investing, leveraged finance, project finance, investment banking, corporate banking, or credit-focused investing roles Strong credit underwriting and investment analysis experience, with a demonstrated ability to assess risk and structure transactions Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including experience analyzing complex debt structures and cash flow-based investments Experience evaluating investments within energy, power, midstream, utilities, renewables, infrastructure, or other real asset sectors Strong understanding of debt documentation, covenant analysis, and transaction structuring Proven track record of managing multiple workstreams and transaction processes simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex analyses into clear investment recommendations Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and commercial judgment Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across investment teams and external stakeholders CFA designation, MBA, or other advanced credentials are a plus Key Responsibilities Evaluate, structure, and execute private credit investments across the energy, power, infrastructure, and related sectors Lead financial modeling, credit underwriting, and investment analysis for new investment opportunities Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including company, industry, market, and management team assessments Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to senior investment professionals and investment committees Analyze capital structures, debt capacity, cash flow profiles, and downside risk scenarios Participate in transaction structuring, negotiation, documentation review, and closing processes Monitor portfolio investments, including financial performance, covenant compliance, liquidity, and overall credit quality Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, management teams, lenders, advisors, and industry participants Support portfolio management activities and identify opportunities to enhance risk-adjusted returns Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members while contributing to a collaborative investment culture #J-18808-Ljbffr Alexander Chapman
