Protean Med is recruiting two locum OB/GYN physicians for summer coverage at a hospital-based program with active labor and delivery, GYN surgery, and a team that values the providers they bring in. The role location is Tucson, AZ. Dates: June, July, and/or August 2026 flexible around your availability. Providers needed: two. Setting: hospital-based | labor & delivery + GYN surgery EMR: Epic Start: per provider availability.

Schedule In-house: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM Beeper call from home: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM May need to remain in-house full 24 hours if L&D is busy or laborist coverage is unavailable. Facility will work with you on scheduling flexibility is a priority.

Scope of coverage In-house OB and GYN coverage Rounding and labor management Delivery management GYN surgery (as needed) Full L&D support team.

Candidate requirements BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology Active state license (details provided upon inquiry) Temporary privileges eligibility Clean NPDB required OB/GYN surgical experience Comfortable managing active L&D independently.
