Facility:
This is an extremely busy obstetrics center delivering approximately 6,000 births per year, making it one of the most active labor and delivery programs in the region. The facility features a 24-bed department with comprehensive in-house OB and GYN coverage, offering providers a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment with strong professional support.

Physician – Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• Provide in-house OB and GYN coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with potential beeper call from home 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• May be required to remain in-house for full 24-hour coverage if labor and delivery is busy or laborist coverage is unavailable
• May need to return to the hospital during overnight hours for OB, GYN, or ED patients
• Coverage needed for June, July, and August for approximately 8 days per month
• 6-24 patient encounters per shift
• Responsibilities include rounding, labor management, delivery, and possible GYN surgery
• Manage both low and high risk pregnancies
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Perform Level I/Screening (viability) OB ultrasounds
• Conduct routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal and cesarean sections
• Manage breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Perform decision-making for c-sections
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Must hold an active Arizona medical license
• Board certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Clean NPDB, malpractice, and background check required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 30 days
• Nearest airport: Tucson International
