As our Human Resources Assistant, you will help support the day-to-day HR operation, including:

• Recruiting & Hiring: Help post positions, review applicants for basic qualifications, schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and coordinate pre-employment requirements.
• New-Hire Onboarding: Prepare new-hire documentation, assist with orientation, Form I-9 procedures, and coordinate employee start dates.
• HR Administration: Maintain employee records, personnel files, HRIS information, correspondence, reports, and confidential documentation.
• Timekeeping & Payroll Support: Review timecards, assist with attendance tracking and approved corrections, and help prepare information needed for payroll.
• Benefits: Assist employees with routine enrollment information, forms, and beneficiary documentation.
• Training: Schedule training, track completion, maintain training records and certificates, and follow up on overdue training.
• Employee Support: Be a friendly and professional point of contact for employees with routine HR questions.
• Safety & Workers' Compensation Support: Help maintain safety records, training documentation, and workers' compensation paperwork.
• HR Projects & Employee Activities: Assist with employee communications, meetings, company events, recognition activities, wellness programs, and special HR projects.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months to 2 years of Human Resources, administrative, payroll, recruiting, or related experience
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and email
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred:

• Associate degree, or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience using an HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or applicant tracking system
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar business environment
