Position Hybrid – Litigation Paralegal Job Description The Litigation Paralegal will be primarily responsible for assisting attorneys with a wide range of dispute‑related matters including demands, subpoenas, regulatory, administrative, state, federal, and arbitration matters and actions. The role also supports various compliance functions, including but not limited to human resources, data privacy, and government affairs. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake, docketing, calendaring and tracking of deadlines. Administer legal holds and discovery preparation, including document collection. Draft letters and other legal correspondence. Work cross‑functionally to manage a large volume of matters (e.g., collaborate with Risk Management to ensure coverage and indemnification). Engage with franchisees and other stakeholders professionally as needed. Assist the department with reporting, tracking and management of data. Support attorneys in other practice areas, including franchising and corporate transactional matters, with tasks such as preparation and production of franchise‑related legal documents, transaction due diligence and corporate governance. Target Salary $70,000 – $80,000 depending on experience. Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skills 2+ years of applicable paralegal experience with majority in litigation. Franchise experience a plus. Notary public or willingness to become a notary public for the company. Proficient in technology platforms, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management tools. Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple projects. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational, problem‑solving and administrative skills. Flexible and able to work in a cross‑functional team environment. Ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion in a timely and efficient manner. Willingness to learn and be open to suggestions/ideas to improve productivity and efficiency. Self‑starter with willingness to further develop skills as a paralegal and businessperson. Excellent communication (speaking, writing, and listening) skills. Minimum Education / Certifications / Licenses Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in a law firm or in‑house legal environment.
