HPC Foodservice is a family-owned, independent broadline foodservice distributor serving the Northeast since 1908. We are looking for an organized, customer-focused Inside Sales Account Specialist to support assigned sales territories, representatives, customers, and contract accounts. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers grow their business.

What You’ll Do

• Support assigned sales territories, sales representatives, customers, key accounts, and contract accounts.
• Manage customer orders, coordinate deliveries, monitor follow-through, and resolve service issues.
• Respond promptly to questions about products, pricing, services, orders, and account needs.
• Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and dependable follow-up.
• Identify opportunities to expand business within assigned accounts and support company sales initiatives.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Customer Service, Revenue Management, Finance, and other internal teams.
• Maintain accurate account notes, order details, follow-up items, and required documentation.
• Support reporting, analysis, sales meetings, training, customer meetings, and special projects.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of inside sales or customer account support experience.
• Broadline foodservice distribution or contract-account experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization, accuracy, attention to detail, time management, and follow-through.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook; AS400 and business intelligence experience are a plus.
• Ability to complete any required background check for customer or contract-system access.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Limited Sunday coverage may be required on a rotating basis for up to three hours. Rotating holiday coverage may also be required based on the shipping schedule.

Location: South Windsor, Connecticut
