What Youll Be Doing

• Conduct a range of routine and advanced laboratory testsincluding but not limited to chemistry, hematology, and immunologywhile adhering to established protocols.
• Evaluate test results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure laboratory instruments are well-maintained and calibrated.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples meticulously for testing.
• Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, mentor new staff or students, and help uphold high laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, complying with all relevant regulations and accreditation guidelines.

Required Education

• Bachelors degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications Needed

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain certification for the duration of employment.
