Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics functions. This role involves receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, preparing and processing shipping documents, and managing inventory records using software systems. The specialist will coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries and communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and checking for damage or discrepancies.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
• Track and trace shipments, providing status updates to management and customer service representatives.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Handle materials, which includes unloading trucks, sorting and stocking received items, and loading outgoing freight. This may require operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Manage inventory records, using software systems (such as an ERP system) to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area that adheres to company safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal teams.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software such as SAP.
• Ability to operate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bilingual skills, with proficiency in Spanish being preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with order selection processes.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a ventilated warehouse, ensuring a comfortable work environment. The role operates Monday through Friday during the day shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
