Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, taking into account patients' co-occurring medical conditions to inform treatment strategies.
• Design and implement integrated treatment plans that effectively address both psychiatric and medical needs, ensuring that all aspects of a patient's health are considered.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances, with the aim of fostering personal growth and resilience.
• Collaborate with medical providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care, contributing to effective management of dual diagnoses and complex health issues.
• Provide crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and therapeutic communication skills.
• Educate patients on the interplay between mental health and physical wellness, empowering them with tools to manage their conditions effectively.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate and confidential patient records within our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, providing insight and updates on patient progress, and engaging in collaborative care planning.
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in integrated care to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse patient population dealing with complex health challenges. Many of our clients face dual diagnoses involving mental health issues alongside physical health conditions such as chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use challenges. The ideal candidate will be motivated to improve the overall life quality of these individuals, utilizing a patient-centered approach to therapy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State.
• Experience working with clients who present with co-occurring medical and mental health conditions, demonstrating an understanding of integrated care principles.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate building rapport with patients and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A strong commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines, ensuring the confidentiality and dignity of all patients.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant computer applications to document care and track progress.
• A collaborative spirit and an eagerness to contribute to a teamwork-based environment.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in using evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Prior experience in a community health clinic setting, providing services to marginalized populations.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and trauma-informed care practices.

Compensation and Benefits
