Job Description:

Title: CVICU Registered Nurse

Requirements:

- Valid RN license in state or Compact RN license

- Minimum of 2 years RN experience

- CVICU experience (post-cardiac surgery and advanced cardiac support) required

- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (CCRN preferred)

Key clinical skills include:

- Post-cardiac surgery care and epicardial pacing wire management

- Ventilator management and airway suctioning

- Vasoactive drip titration and dysrhythmia management

- Arterial and central line management; ABG interpretation

- Familiarity with IABP, Impella, VAD; CRRT/CVVHD management

- Blood product administration and massive transfusion protocol

- Chest tube assistance and sedation/paralytic management

- Telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring (PA/Swan-Ganz, CVP)

Compliance / Notes:

- Orientation: 36 hours

- References: 2 required before start

- Request time off (RTO) must be listed at time of submittal; post-submission RTO may not be approved

- Parking: No fee

- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
