Job Description

Our client, a growing podiatry practice expanding its care team in Sacramento, is seeking a Medical Assistant with hands on clinical experience and strong patient care skills. This role provides routine foot care and clinical support to long-term care patients across multiple Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities. The MA will travel with the provider to various sites and support a comfortable, professional patient experience.

Pay: $24/hour
Assignment: 2-3-month temp, possible temp to hire
Location: Downtown Sacramento
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

Perform and document routine foot care including nail trimming, callus/corn care, moisturizing, and skin assessment
Assist with minor podiatry procedures such as wound care, nail trimming, callus removal, and foot injections
Prepare, clean, and sterilize stations and equipment between patients; maintain sterile compliance
Set up and maintain medical tools and supplies for each visit
Process insurance information and complete routine administrative tasks
Maintain accurate patient documentation, records, and billing information
Travel to healthcare facilities in a company vehicle
Communicate professionally with patients and facility staff

Skills & Qualifications

6+ months of medical assisting experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a Medical Assistant program required
CMA or RMA certification preferred
Experience with EMR/EHR systems
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable traveling to multiple sites daily
