About the Role

We’re seeking dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Apprentices (SLPAs) for part-time, school-based assignments (2–3 days per week) . Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will help deliver therapy services, support students with communication challenges, and play an essential role in their academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under SLP supervision.
• Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy goals.
• Prepare therapy materials and activities aligned with treatment plans.
• Document student progress, maintain service logs, and assist with reporting.
• Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
• Support the use of evidence-based strategies and therapeutic technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
• Help maintain equipment and organize therapy spaces.
• Participate in professional development and training activities as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or completion of an AA/AS Leveling Program.
• Active SLPA license or certification (or eligibility) in the state of practice.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school setting.
• Familiarity with IEPs and educational documentation.
• Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
