Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

Location: Manitowoc, WI
Pay: $21.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift premium
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m., Monday - Thursday

Position Summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Manitowoc is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join their team. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently moving raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility and assisting with material handling needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials, components, and finished products.
• Deliver materials to designated production areas as needed.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities.
• Verify materials and quantities to ensure accurate movement and placement.
• Maintain organized material storage areas.
• Occasionally operate a company pickup truck to transport raw materials or finished parts between locations.
• Perform routine inspections of material-handling equipment and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other material-handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of powered industrial trucks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately move and stage materials.
• Ability to work independently while also working effectively with the production and warehouse teams.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and position materials as required.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record preferred due to occasional pickup truck operation.
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
