Data Engineer

Location: Peoria, IL

Duration: 12 months

Requirements

• Data Analysis.
• 5-7 years' experience in data management or data engineering or data operations
• 3+ years of experience in a Cloud environment (AWS, Snowflake)
• Strong SQL and Python
• Strong AWS experience (SageMaker, S3, RDS, Cloudwatch)
• Strong Snowflake experience
• Strong SQL, Python and/or Java technical development skills
• Understanding of logical data domains (Customer & Equipment Domains)
• Experience in Data Operations, Tier 2 Support, or comparable Data Engineering Support role
• Knowledge of data technology products and components for Big Data and Cloud (AWS, Data Lakes)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a complex, rapidly changing, and culturally diverse environment
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Perform all necessary data related tasks (data design, data quality, data triage, data governance, data architecture)
• Develop scripts and automation tools to detect and correct data issues
• Develop monitoring and alerting capabilities to detect data issues proactively
• Work on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support calls
• Involve in technical sync-up and meetings with internal teams including US and offshore teams
• Collaborate across functional teams (data engineering, data solution, service, tier 1 support) via Teams meetings, chat, and email for issue triaging and resolution
