Requirements Job Title Emergency Medicine Physician Locums Christus Santa Rosa Emergency Center Alon Facility Christus Santa Rosa Emergency Center Alon San Antonio TX 78230 Specialty Emergency Medicine Will consider Emergency Medicine Physicians Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians or Pediatric Physicians with Emergency Department experience. Start Date January 2027 Assignment Length Approximately 6 months or longer. Coverage Need Approximately 4 to 5 physicians needed. Minimum 4 shifts per month. Staffing Model 24 physician hours per day No NPPA coverage. Shift Times Day Shift 6am to 6pm Night Shift 6pm to 6am Annual Volume Approximately 8800 visits annually Approximately 24 patients per day. Board Certification Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Alternative board certifications are not accepted. Required Certifications ATLS required PALS required. All physicians need PALS and ATLS Requirements: A. Successful completion postgraduate training program in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. AND A1. Current subspecialty certification in pediatric emergency medicine; OR Obtain certification within no longer than six (6) years from the date of the completion of sub- specialty training - OR - B. Successful completion postgraduate training program in Pediatrics. AND B1. Current certification in pediatrics OR Obtain certification within no longer than six (6) years from the date of the completion of residency or sub-specialty training AND B2. minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, working a minimum of one-hundred and twenty (120) hours per month - OR - C. Successful completion postgraduate training program in Emergency Medicine. AND C1. Current certification in Emergency Medicine OR Obtain certification within no longer than six (6) years from the date of the completion of residency training AND C2. pediatric emergency medicine services consisting of at least 300 pediatric (age AND the first three (3) patient care shifts will be proctored by a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship trained physician. Residency and Experience Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Case logs from the previous 2 years required. Providers trained in Emergency Medicine or Pediatrics must demonstrate 300 pediatric patient encounters within the previous 12 months through case logs. EMR Epic. License Requirement Active state license required to proceed. Facility Details No call requirement. No scribes onsite. Abridge AI scribe technology available to clinicians. High acuity patients can be transferred to Childrens Hospital of San Antonio when needed. Travel and Lodging Paid travel provided. Credentialing Approximately 60 days. Temporary privileges available for physicians with a clean file. Onboarding Hospital orientation required. Epic training required. Epic test out option available for experienced Epic users. Immunization Requirements Documentation required for Diphtheria Pertussis Tetanus Mumps Hepatitis B Rubella Varicella Measles PPD within the previous 12 months and seasonal influenza vaccination when applicable. Presentation Process Candidates will complete a phone screen with a Medical Director. Onsite interview not required.
