Senior Bookkeeper
Senior Bookkeeper needed for a bookkeeping service company located in Tustin, CA.
Temporary to hire position paying $33-40/hr, depending on experience. Hours are flexible, starting between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, Monday - Friday, with 8-hour days. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision.
This company provides bookkeeping services for companies throughout the United States. Individuals will be assigned clients to manage their entire bookkeeping.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Code and match transactions within the QuickBooks Online bank feed.
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Manage and support the full bookkeeping/accounting cycle.
- Prepare and provide Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
- Review and understand financial statements for accuracy.
- Properly utilize and maintain the Chart of Accounts.
- Assist clients with bookkeeping-related questions and financial information.
- Work across various areas of clients' books rather than focusing solely on month-end close.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
- Understanding of the full bookkeeping/accounting cycle.
- Strong understanding of Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss Statements.
- Comfortable navigating and properly utilizing a Chart of Accounts.
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Bank and credit card reconciliation experience.
- Experience coding and matching transactions in the QBO bank feed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional communication and presentation.
- MS Office proficiency.
- Accounting/bookkeeping degree or related education is a plus, but not required.
- Seeking a long-term opportunity and able to demonstrate employment stability.
