Refrigeration Technician

OTG - Newark Liberty International Airport, Newark, NJ, 3 Brewster Rd, Newark, New Jersey, United States of America Job Title Refrigeration Technician – EWR Airport Compensation $35 - $50 per hour Reports to Senior Management Responsibilities Install new commercial kitchen equipment including dishwashers, conveyors, ovens, stoves, kettles, fryers, steamers, and ice machines. Diagnose performance of commercial cooking equipment through observation, testing, and setup. Disassemble and reassemble equipment for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair. Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to perform service on the unit. Lift, carry, pull, and push components and/or equipment to test, set up, or maintain equipment. Give and take written and verbal instructions. Complete documents to verify work performed. Work flexible hours as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Burn and fire watch certificates (plus). Knowledge and experience with plumbing, electrical, and copper work related to new installations. Diagnostic ability demonstrated through at least 2 years of experience and/or training with commercial cooking equipment such as fryers and grills. Proficient use of a variety of meters, measuring instruments, torches, and hand tools. Effective communication with the customer. Ability to work independently, under pressure, and without close supervision; willingness and ability to consistently work the schedule required. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force (pulling, pushing, lifting, carrying) regularly and up to 50 pounds of force frequently. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, twist, and grasp to perform essential job functions.
