Equipment Services Dispatcher

Job Description Receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency requests for ground and air ambulance responses. Direct inbound and outbound telephone calls to appropriate departments, internal and external. \n \n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position. \n \n #Assists ground and/or air resources for emergency and non-emergency responses. \n # Coordinates first responder notification of fire departments and other agencies as requried. \n # Receives and keypunches requests for ground and air response. \n # Documents daily activity. \n # Provides pre-arrival instructions using EMD. \n # Trains new Communication Center employees as requested. \n \n \n These duties, responsibilities, requirements, and conditions are not intended to be all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties, responsibilities, requirements and conditions. \n \n QUALIFICATIONS: \n \n # High School Diploma or GED. \n # National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (preferred); as determined by appropriate state requirements; but not always necessary depending on experience, etc. \n \n \n INTERPERSONAL REQUIREMENTS : \n \n # Maintain social, ethical and organizational norms. \n # Achieve accomplishment of all task details, no matter how small. \n # Maintain good personal motivation; develop a sense of ownership of job tasks and results. \n # Must have a sense of urgency for all work performed. \n # Must maintain professionalism and respect with patients, co-workers, emergency service providers, healthcare workers and the general public. \n \n \n \n All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.\n \n \n \n
