Human Resources Assistant

A prominent law firm in West Los Angeles is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support its Human Resources team. This position will assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and day-to-day HR administration. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and comfortable handling confidential information. Responsibilities Coordinate interviews, maintain candidate tracking records, and communicate with candidates and recruiters. Assist with onboarding, including new-hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and background check coordination. Maintain accurate employee records and update the HR information system. Support benefits administration, enrollment, and employee inquiries. Assist with payroll preparation by collecting and reviewing employee information and changes. Coordinate offboarding paperwork and exit procedures. Prepare HR correspondence, reports, and other administrative materials. Help organize employee events, training sessions, and firm initiatives. Provide general administrative support to the HR team and assist with special projects. Qualifications At least one year of HR or administrative experience preferred; law firm or professional services experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with HR systems preferred. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Sound judgment, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. A collaborative approach and strong employee service skills. Salary: $65k - $75k depending on experience.
