Job Description

The Lending and Equipment Finance Cash Applications Analyst role is an experienced individual contributor responsible for executing complex operational processes with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and risk awareness. This role manages non routine or escalated work, applies sound judgment in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements, and supports operational stability through subject matter expertise and informal peer guidance. The analyst supports technology initiatives and develops automated reporting and cash posting solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across multiple lines of business. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast paced, high volume operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process complex, high-risk, or non-routine operational transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work while meeting service level and quality expectations
• Research, analyze, and resolve exceptions, discrepancies, and escalated issues, appropriately document actions and outcomes
• Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for assigned work, including follow-through on open items
• Apply judgment and adaptability when interpreting procedures or managing changing priorities
• Serve as a subject-matter resource for specific processes, products, or systems; provide informal guidance or support to peers as needed
• Identify potential process gaps, risks, or inefficiencies and escalate observations through appropriate channels
• Collaborate effectively with internal partners across operations, risk, compliance, and other functional teams
• Support audit, review, remediation, or change initiatives as assigned
• Analyze and interpret reporting and operational data related to cash posting activities

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five to seven years or more of operations services related work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex processes and data to support operational and technology solutions
• Experience working across multiple functional areas or business lines to deliver process improvements
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills applied to reporting, analytics, and payment application workflows
• General knowledge of accounting principles related to leasing or financial services
• Experience supporting or participating in process automation or technology initiatives
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and manage a steady workload in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical partners
• Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and effective collaboration
• Experience within Equipment Finance or a similar financial services environment
• Internal U.S. Bank experience supporting Equipment Finance or leasing operations (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
• Ability to learn and effectively use multiple systems and software applications

Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $23.65 - $31.54
