2027 Future Talent Program - Global Supplier Management Group Indirect Procurement Marketing - Co-op

Merck is recruiting for a 6-month cooperative education placement in the Global Supplier Management Group's Marketing Procurement function. The co-op will support strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost reduction initiatives across creative, public relations, media, market research, or marketing operations areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed market analyses and supplier performance evaluations to provide strategic insights
• Develop cost models and purchase price analyses for goods and services
• Support supplier selection, contract compliance, and relationship management activities
• Prepare financial analysis and reporting on category spend, savings, and compliance metrics
• Assist in creating negotiation plans and executing RFIs, RFPs, and procurement processes

Requirements

• Currently in sophomore or junior year pursuing bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, manufacturing, market research, communications, or science discipline
• Superior interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication with presentation skills
• Strong data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SharePoint
• Experience with enterprise collaboration tools (Teams, Yammer)
• Project management skills with ability to work independently and adapt to ambiguous situations
