Quick Facts: Location: Fargo, ND, 3000 32nd Avenue South Start Date: 07/30/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing Shift: 24-hour shifts, preferred weekdays with 2-3 shifts/month Hours/week: Variable, based on shifts Employment Type: Locum/Temporary assignment License/Certs: OB ABMS or AOA board certification required Experience: Comfortable working with midwives, performing VBACs and C-sections, Epic experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (please note, this is a placeholder; pay package discussed upon application) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable laws 24/7 dedicated team support from VHS What You’ll Do: Provide OB/GYN coverage during scheduled shifts, including labor, delivery, and postpartum care Manage approximately 65% of deliveries, totaling around 120 deliveries per month Utilize Epic electronic medical record system (preferred) Collaborate with midwives and multidisciplinary team members Perform C-sections and VBAC deliveries as needed Ensure high-quality patient care in a facility with 16 labor/delivery/postpartum rooms and 1 OB dedicated OR What You Need: OB ABMS or AOA board certification At least [X] years of OB/GYN experience (please specify if applicable) Comfortable working independently with autonomy Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work 24-hour shifts with proper rest periods between shifts About the Assignment: This OB/GYN laborist role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team at a well-equipped facility in Fargo. The position provides flexible scheduling, a supportive environment, and the chance to make a difference in patient care. Physicians can stay at a hotel until called in and will have orientation support — the rate for orientation will not exceed 60% of the hourly rate.
