Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner

PMHNP Locums to Permanent Job in the California Bay Area Details/Requirements: Will consider locum tenens to permanent PMHNP candidates who are interested first and foremost in the client's permanent opportunity. They have one of their own psychiatrists who will provide collaborative services for the PMHNP candidate. Need starts asap and ongoing for 40 hours a week of clinical work for adult patients with moderate to severe mental illness. Client wants 100% onsite services. Hours: 8A-5P, Monday-Friday. No call. Need a doctor with SMI experience and experience prescribing Clozaril as well as prescribing meds for patients with schizophrenia, bipolar, very severe treatment resistant depression, etc. Initial evaluations are 60-90 minutes and medication follow ups are 20-30 minutes. For patients new to the doctor, can spend longer with the patient based on what's best for the patient. Credentialing process takes 6-8 weeks, depending on how all over it the locum tenens-to-permanent candidate is. The process includes credentialing with the client. Board Certification is preferred, not required. Will consider three months minimum assignments for the locum tenens trial period.
