Sale Support Representative

The Sales Support Representative (SSR) serves as a critical link between customers, sales, engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive business growth. This role is responsible for managing customer inquiries, coordinating quotations and proposals, supporting forecasting activities, and ensuring timely execution of commercial processes throughout the sales cycle.The ideal candidate is a customer-focused commercial professional with experience in industrial manufacturing, flow control, valves, pumps, rotating equipment, or other engineered products. This individual will leverage their technical aptitude, commercial acumen, and relationship-building skills to support strategic sales initiatives, improve response times, and contribute to revenue growth.This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-career professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys partnering with cross-functional teams to solve customer challenges and deliver business results.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Commercial SupportServe as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and professional support throughout the sales process.Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and successful order execution.Review customer specifications, technical documentation, and commercial requirements to develop accurate proposals and quotations.Support the administration of commercial contracts and customer agreements, ensuring compliance with company requirements.Quotation & Proposal ManagementLead the preparation, coordination, and delivery of aftermarket quotations and commercial proposals.Manage opportunities through the complete proposal lifecycle, ensuring responsiveness, accuracy, and on-time delivery.Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to develop competitive customer solutions.Utilize quoting tools and workflows to improve cycle times, reduce rework, and increase proposal effectiveness.Sales Operations & ForecastingSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasting activities.Analyze sales performance data and provide actionable insights to sales leadership.Assist with sales productivity reporting, pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and performance analytics.Prepare reports and business review materials to support strategic decision-making.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to streamline processes, improve customer responsiveness, and enhance operational efficiency.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that support business objectives and customer expectations.Maintain accurate records and documentation within CRM, ERP, and sales tracking systems.Preferred QualificationsRequired5+ years of experience in Sales Support, Commercial Operations, Customer Service, Inside Sales, Quotations, or Contract Administration within an industrial or engineered manufacturing environment.Experience supporting customer accounts and coordinating cross-functional business activities.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.PreferredExperience supporting industrial products such as valves, pumps, flow control equipment, rotating equipment, mechanical systems, or related engineered products.Working knowledge of quotation development, pricing strategy, contract review, and commercial terms.Experience utilizing Salesforce, CRM platforms, and/or ERP systems.Familiarity with aftermarket services, repair operations, or industrial distribution channels.Experience supporting customers within power generation, utilities, oil & gas, chemical processing, water treatment, or industrial manufacturing markets.Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. mps, rotating equipment, actuators, seals, or flow-control productsSummaryLocation: Port Arthur, Texas USType: Full time
