Together with DocGo's integrated Ambulnz medical transport services, DocGo is bridging the gap between physical and virtual care.Responsibilities:Implement and/or assist/manage internal billing process and proceduresImplement and/or assist/manage processes for verification of patient benefitsManage staff in the Billing department (including billing, follow-up, collections, customer service team members)Be responsible for preparation of invoices and 1500 formsPrepare and submit clean claims in various methods (e.g., electronically, paper, online)Identify and resolve patient billing complaintsCoordinate collection of needed insurance documents for billingRebill insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment for patientsFollow-up and report status of delinquent accountsReview accounts for possible assignment and makes recommendationsPerform various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payersEstablish payment plans to help patients manage payment of billsSend delinquent accounts to collection agenciesRespond to patient billing and statement inquiriesPrepare Health Insurance analysis reports on a weekly basisMake recommendations to management for write-offsExecute approved write-offsMaintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulationsAdditional duties as outlined by the Revenue Cycle Director or CROAdhere and follow Billing Service Level Agreement with the OperationRequired Qualifications:3-5+ years of experienceStrong knowledge of various payersProficient in MS Office, including intermediate experience in excelKnowledgeable on ICD-10 and CPT codesMust be available after hoursFamiliar with standard concepts, practices, and proceduresWorks under general supervision.
