The successful candidate will be the chief executive officer, responsible for advancing the organization's mission, vision, and strategic priorities. This pivotal role involves leading a comprehensive federal and state advocacy strategy, serving as the primary spokesperson, and building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, regulatory agencies, and other influential stakeholders. The Executive Director will also be tasked with uniting diverse constituencies, managing staff and consultants, ensuring financial sustainability, and partnering with the Board of Directors to implement strategic plans. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a proven track record in influencing public policy and a strong command of the legislative and regulatory process. The role requires a highly organized, professional leader with experience in relationship building, consensus building, and collaborative leadership. A background in a nonprofit association, trade association, or mission-driven membership organization is strongly preferred, as is experience in financial management and budgeting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving healthcare access and outcomes, with a background in healthcare, rehabilitation, disability services, medical technology, or a related field. Executive presence, strong communication skills, and a servant-leadership orientation are essential, as is the ability to manage a remote team and leverage technology for organizational effectiveness.
