Logistics Coordinator (Trucking / 3PL)

AMMON Staffing is recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to support daily trucking and freight operations for a well-established logistics company. This is a fast-paced role ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, communication, and keeping freight moving on time.

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator will manage shipments from start to finish, working closely with carriers, drivers, and customers to ensure safe, timely, and efficient delivery of freight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule shipments (FTL, LTL, bulk, hazmat, etc.)
  • Source and assign carriers based on load requirements
  • Dispatch loads and communicate instructions to drivers
  • Track and trace shipments from pickup through delivery
  • Provide updates to customers and internal teams
  • Resolve delays, issues, or service disruptions quickly
  • Ensure compliance with safety and transportation regulations
  • Enter and maintain load details in the system
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers
  • Assist with rate confirmations, load coverage, and planning
Qualifications
  • 1-3+ years of logistics, transportation, or trucking experience preferred
  • Experience in dispatching, brokerage, or 3PL environment is a plus
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Basic computer skills; TMS experience a plus
