TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Portland, Oregon, 97213!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry License: Compact license valid in required state Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Travel experience - Previous charge experience - Experience with insulin administration - Experience with oral suctioning and colostomy/ileostomy management Description: This position involves providing patient care in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit. Registered Nurses will be expected to float between units as needed based on skill sets. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4. Candidates must have experience with managing insulin protocols. Experience with central line care and managing telemetry patients is necessary. Wound care experience and the ability to perform phlebotomy are needed. Candidates should have skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac drips without titration. Nurses must be adept at early mobilization and applying isolation precautions. The ability to manage various medical devices and patient care procedures is essential. Providers may be expected to float to nearby facilities if staffing needs arise. Communication devices will be supplied as needed to perform job duties. Failure to float may result in assignment termination. All relevant health precautions and protocols in the workplace must be followed.
