Sign‑on bonus eligible—up to $7,500, if hired externally. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Pediatric Emergency Department at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Full‑Time opportunity working nights with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. The Wolfson Children’s Hospital Pediatric Emergency Department is dedicated exclusively to the care of infants, children, and adolescents. As a leading pediatric hospital in Northeast Florida, Wolfson Children’s Hospital provides specialized pediatric emergency care supported by highly trained pediatric physicians, nurses, and specialists. Registered Nurse, Job Responsibilities Provides patient care to the critically ill pediatric population utilizing all aspects of the nursing process. Administers medications per hospital policies and procedures. Embraces and upholds the hospital mission statement. Educates patients and families about their disease process and plan of care. Interacts with physicians and other departments within the hospital. Coordinates care provided by ancillary services. Acts as the patient advocate. Participates in staff meetings and other unit activities. Experience Requirements 3–5 years experience in clinical specialty. 1 year emergency nursing experience required. Education & Credential Requirements Associate of Science in Nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required. Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) required. Licensed Registered Nurse required. Certification requirements: ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs; PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and within 6 months for WCH ED.
